I talk about mental health issues and how it affects 1 in 6 people in the UK. How it’s the big unspoken illness and how mental health is often not taken seriously and people shy away from talking about it or admitting to it because of the social stigma attached to it.

I admit to my own mental health issues and the fact that I suffer from Seasonal Adjustment Disorder (SAD) which affects 1 in 15 people in the UK. I talk about how the change to British Summer Time (BST) has been like flicking a switch for me and my SAD and how being able to be honest and to talk about these issues can be so liberating to someone who suffers with mental health problems.

I had depression since being a teenager; and as I got older it just got worse. NHS was absolutely no help apart from giving me some anti-depressants to get through the worst parts; in the end I went private and that cost a fortune; and I'm a lot happier for it; but I still have huge motivational problems. and like you i feel a lot better when summer times come around and the evenings are lighter 🙂

No one understands until they experience for themselves. Thanks for posting this, Take Care man.

I have the same lucky life that you have and I am often the same in the winter. I have had anxiety all of my life which has been hard to deal with. I make lots of plans and goals like building houses etc. Keeping active and busy keeps me focused and stress free. It's good to be open with things. Excellent subject and video 👍
