Alfa Romeo is not doing great and changes are required. While the Italian brand with a (mostly) great past has made a decent return in 2017, with the Giulia range, sales continue plummeting. In 2018, the carmaker scored its most recent peak, with 83,438 cars sold. Fast forward to 2021 and that number has dropped to a mere 25,964. While Alfa Romeo’s salvation may hide in its transition to a more sensible brand, a sports car should still be in its lineup, especially given the brand’s racing past. The 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C was discontinued in 2020 and the Giulia Quadrofoglio is, essentially, a high-performance version of a sporty sedan. But what should the next sports car from Alfa Romeo be?
