While the Ford Mustang is the first to come to mind when talking about Pony cars, it’s easy to forget that the American icon had a more upscale counterpart in the form of the Mercury Cougar. While, arguably, not as iconic as the Mustang, the Cougar had its fair share of excitement. This particular one is a 1970 Mercury Cougar XR-7 convertible in a very rare spec, and it’s for sale at Classic Cars, by the St. Louis Car Museum, for a not-so-attainable price. But is it worth it?
