"There are going to be plenty of installs that aren't fun" should be a sign in every private garage. No matter how "easy" the experts make it look you can rest assured you're going to run into something on YOUR car that they didn't have to deal with.

Don't believe me? Ask the guy that did this video, not one time has anything gone "perfectly" when working on mine, and it was a brand new unmodified car when the first "modification" was done to it. 🤣

Another great video and advice given.

You brought it up so — how about sharing an “oops” video of the things you guys may have messed up that were edited out?

U should make a unedited video to show mistakes, mistakes helps us learn.

My biggest rookie mistake was when I was swapping my cats for a set of high flows…I was lazy and used an impact to remove the nuts from the manifold. Instead of using heat and/or penetrating liquid. Ended up stripping up the bolt. Only time my mustang had to go to a shop, moral of the story, take your time and DONT BE LAZY.

I studied your Barton shifter install video and installed it In my 07 mustang gt with no problems.

I put a Pertronix ignition system on my 68 Mustang 20 some years ago. Instant starts. But, it seemed as if my highway mileage actually fell. I followed the instructions, BUT, it wasn't clear on it needing a full 12 volts all the time. Five years ago, I was reading another's wiring and he'd gone directly to the ignition switch. I did that and the first thing was more power AND fuel mileage went from 15 MPG to 19! She'd NEVER done that (had her since new).

Which one of these mistakes have you made?
