Just a few days ago Volkswagen unveiled the first design sketches of ID. Aero – a future fully electric sedan that aims at the “high-volume upper-middle class segment,” including the Tesla Model 3, the Polestar 2, and the BMW i4. Now, the brand has revealed the ID. Aero concept, along with a few more details on the future car. The production version for China will arrive in the second half of 2023, while the European version will roll off the assembly line at the Emden plant in late 2023. North America will also follow.
The new ID. Aero will be the fourth fully electric model Volkswagen will sell in China – next to the ID.3, ID.4, and ID.6, and will also be part of the company’s Accelerate strategy: by 2030 every second vehicle sold in China will be an electric vehicle.
