The new Turbo Study model is powered by a twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter air-cooled flat-six engine with air-to-water cooling. It delivers a total of 510 horsepower – a lot more than the 316 horsepower the air-cooled Porsche 964 delivered back in the 1990s. The customer wanted to make sure he will actually enjoy the sporty driving experience, so he equipped his car with a six-speed manual transmission. Singer is also offering a sports calibrated suspension that will bring the sports car closer to the ground, plus a carbon-ceramic braking system.

Interior and Exterior Enhancements

The 964 Turbo is a very cool-looking sports car, but Singer made it even better. The tuner is offering carbon fiber bodywork in Turbo Racing White with contrasting double green top stripes. Exterior updates include a new front decklid with center-mounted fuel filler, plus carbon fiber elements for the front splitter and for the whale tail spoiler. The rear bumperette was deleted and the engine intake benefits from a functional shark fin.

Updates continue inside, where the customer asked again for a sports focus. The cabin is trimmed in Houndstooth “Grun” cloth, with visual carbon fiber accents applied on the dashboard, the center console, door trim, and the steering wheel. Lightweight carbon fiber seats, a rear cross-brace, and lightweight door trims make the car ready for any track adventure. The sills and transmission tunnel are finished to match the exterior in Turbo Racing White. Air conditioning and phone charging are the only modern technologies we will find in this Turbo Study.

Singer said nothing about the prices, but considering the 930-based Singer Turbo will start at over $500,000, you shouldn’t expect anything less for this 964 version.
