Bench top grinder with a medium wire wheel is best and easiest way to clean hardware imo.

  2. Easton's car repairs

use a wire brush or wire wheel if your that picky about how bolts go in!

Or just use some brake clean and a wire brush and save money and time with same results

Come on man that’s disrespectful to us broke ass.. but i will say this, in some situations with diesels an older model is better. Especially when you’re really tuning it. Less sensors and environmental bullshit to deal with.

Head bolts are one time use only -they stretch except on very old vehicles

Worth noting that they will very quickly flash rust again as the zinc is gone (hence why they rusted in the first place).

  8. Unclassified Jz

I heard that weakens the boot and stripps the zinc coating i believe

  9. Super Vitz

Good tip, but also spray them with something to prevent them from rusting, you've just removed whatever was left of any zinc coating and those are bolts are gonna rust way quicker than before. Fluid Film is a good option.
