Audi is one of the leading German carmakers busy expanding its electric car line-up rather than giving love to some of its ICE-powered cars that are screaming revamp. The problem is that EV batteries are heavy, so something like the h-tron Glaciah concept rendered here gives us hope Audi’s future cars might not be battery-powered. The concept’s front fascia looks similar to the Audi Skysphere from 2021. The boxy design philosophy, coupled with low overhangs, gives the h-tron a futuristic look. The headlight clusters are not typical LEDs, but are micro LEDs embedded in the hood for a more seamless visual. Also, the headlights have variable graphics, similar to the Skysphere. The intake grille is covered but has a honeycomb-mesh design, and there is an illuminated Audi logo sitting on the top.

From the sides, the boxy design continues, and we found that the H-Tron has a similar-looking side profile to the Q4 e-tron Sportback. However, the wheels are enormous, and even the ground clearance seems to be above average. In addition, the front, rear, and window glasses are tinted. The rear exposes the sleek LED lightbar and the Audi logo integrated into the rear lamps. The lower bumper is designed to make it less drag coefficient.

A more aggressive RS version of the h-tron has been imagined too. Unlike the default h-tron, the RS has more dynamic exterior styling elements. Thanks to a trapezoidal-based theme, the front bumper has more prominent side vents for better airflow, and even the headlights look sharper. With all these visuals, the h-tron concept seems to be a tremendous urban utility vehicle that is also imagined to run on hydrogen fuel cells.
