Richard Scoot is our special guest in our new permanent Unmasking Mental Health studio and we have a very special Automobili Lamborghini swivel chair for all of our guests. We’re talking all things Mental Health in particular Richard’s own experiences in his life, his work with teenagers and stress caused by none other than life itself. A very poignant time for Richard to open up as he is currently at his lowest time suffering with physical health issues which are affecting his day to day living which means he can’t drive or work as well as adding stress into the home as he can’t get involved in as much around the house – an extremely emotional interview about how his physical health is causing his mental health to weaken and cause depression, anxiety and untold levels of stress on those around him. We are truly grateful to Richard for being a guest at this time and he immediately felt a release of pressure and positively better in his own mind, this exercise strengthened his mental health and we truly believe that in speaking out loud, talking to people , it is the truest form of therapy and first steps towards a stronger mind.
We wish Richard the very best for his physical recovery and look forward to catching up with him again soon!
Welcome to our new Petrolheadonism series where we will be discussing mental health with fellow petrolheads about experiences, stress, depression, anxiety and the daily battle of life. Our aim is to help at least one person per video (hopefully many more) to realise that they are not suffering alone and life is tough but there is definitely a lot to look forward to – it can get better! Over the new series we will be unmasking mental health in today’s current social climate and interviewing car enthusiast’s, helping you to find the courage to talk, speak up, be vocal and be heard. We’ve suffered mental health issues in our experiences so we can relate to how you may be feeling.
Whilst we are not experts we and our guests will speak from personal experiences exploring the loneliness of depression, the physical pain felt through anxiety, the emotional effects of mental health on your family and friends but above all we will discuss how we continue to grow, understand and work through mental health struggles every day. We will publish a new interview every two weeks on a Friday evening, please ensure you subscribe to our channel, hit our comments sections with your thoughts but ABOVE ALL if you are suffering from depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, loneliness or any mental health matters, there are family or friends or strangers or helplines that CAN and WILL help you! Petrolheadonism is the place for high octane car hedonism with lashings lovely petrol. Maybe it’s the cars. Maybe it’s the engines. Maybe it’s the crowd. Heck, no, it’s all of those things. We love cars and everything about them. Classic cars? Love them! Americana? Yeehaw! Modified supercars? Oooh, you know how to make a man go moist! Ultra rare hypercar exotics? Nurse, fetch my clean underpants!
Petrolheadonism is about two unlikely chums, Ciro Ciampi and Josh from @ScootSuperCars, sharing their love for the rarest supercar exotica that the world has to offer. This began way back in 2007 when Ciro began hosting car shows at The Sharnbrook Hotel in Bedfordshire. Since then Petrolheadonism has grown into its own supercar scene and continues to bring fans and friends alike together in their mutual love of fast cars.
Petrolheadonism regularly hosts national cars shows, organises car meets and track days and alongside regular YouTube content, it’s everything a petrolhead could ever need!

Great video Richard, very interesting! I also have an undiagnosed illness (maybe long Covid but I’m not sure) that has affected me since late September. Also affected my mental health, hope you get better but reassuring to know I’m not the only one!
May God bless you, Ciro! You don't know how much this mental health series means and how important and necessary it is for so many of us. I am very thankful for Scoots Dad having the courage to just open his heart and share his own personal life experiences. I know that it's never easy at first because the last thing a man wants to reveal is his vulnerabilities. Men are supposed to be strong, always. But sometimes the burdens we shoulder can overwhelm us. I remember back in High School when I lost 2 friends to suicide. Ciro, I could never reconcile in my mind and heart how and why something like that could happen. What did I miss? What were the signs? That was 50 years ago Ciro, and sadly, it has only gotten worse. Please tell both Richard and Scoot I will say a prayer for them both, and for you as well. Thank you for this series, and for having the courage to bring to light, a topic that is so important to all of us. #Petrolhedonism
