“Last year, I used to come up to your house and sit in your kitchen, just so I could talk to you. We wouldn’t talk about anything necessarily, but it was what I needed for 20 minutes, to get me out the house and to stop me from being depressed or unravelling completely.” ❀️

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK, so we felt it was appropriate to share this snippet of Lee Johnston Racing & James Whitham bravely speaking about the importance of managing your mental health.

It’s SO important to talk about how you are feeling and to regularly check up on your friends and family. ❀️

material things count for nothing when a person is in this state of mind. in 2008 just after moving house my wife had a breakdown. she got up in the middle of the night and said .i cant stay here, it was scary,we live in the middle of no where. it took a year of care and gentle handling to get back to anything like normal life. good lads for talking about it,it can happen to anybody.

Thanks for this. It's very often hard to talk about the things that hurt us the most and sometimes we just need to be around friends, not to talk about what's going on necessarily but just to break out of the mindset for a bit. Already said it on one of Jamie's attention paddock interviews but this collection of interviews is the best I've seen. Brilliant!
