The next-generation Ford Everest four-wheel drive SUV will land in Australia later this year, with a $52,990 (before on-road costs) starting price and optional diesel V6 power.

Pricing for the new 2023 Ford Everest has been released, with increases between $2900 and $3200 over the current generation model.
This means the Ford Everest will retain the same Watts Linkage live rear axle and independent front suspension as the current Ford Everest, albeit being updated.
There will be four-different variants of Everest to choose from, along with two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive powertrains.
While the 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine carries over from the previous generation, the 2023 Ford Everest will be available with a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel engine in higher Sport and Platinum variants.
Where the smaller engine makes 154kW at 3750rpm and 500Nm at 1750-2000rpm, the larger V6 is able to better both numbers: 184kW at 3250rpm and 600Nm at 1750-2250rpm.
Both engines run through a 10-speed automatic gearbox, with four-wheel drive models getting a low-range transfer case, locking rear differential, and Torque On Demand clutch-based centre differential.
The towing capacity of the Ford Everest will be increased, from 3100kg to 3500kg.
Other specification levels include the five-seat Ambiente and seven-seat Trend, which are available as two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, with only the 2.0-litre engine option.
The current 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbo diesel engine will be dropped in the new Ford Everest, and fuel economy figures for the 2023 Ford Everest are yet to be divulged.

The 2023 Ford Everest is slated to arrive in Australian showrooms in the second half of this year, pending any delays in production.
