When BMW designed the M3 E30 it wanted to have a racing sedan that can also be driven on the road. When it was unveiled at the 1985 Frankfurt Auto Show, the model was very well received. In a very short period of time, it also scored many victories in various racing series, making the M3 E30 became one of the most desirable BMW models out there.
The first Evolution model was launched in 1988, and then in 1990, the most powerful model in BMW’s E30 3 Series was added to the lineup. It was, of course, the M3 Sport Evolution, with only 600 units being produced worldwide, out of which only 51 units were built to UK specifications.
