Alfa Romeo has been in a weird place lately. After canceling plans to revive the 8c and GTV, the company killed off the 4C spider and delayed the Tonale. The Tonale has since made its debut as the company’s first plug-in hybrid, but a new compact SUV was supposed to happen this year, and it has naturally been pushed further into the future. There are even rumors that a larger-than Giulia competitor for the 5 Series was in development, but that has also gone nowhere. Now, the same man that swore the key to saving Alfa was to raise price and delay models, has set the company’s sights on the BMW X5, X6, and – believe it or not – the BMW 7 Series.
