CW/TW:
Today’s video tackles a very serious topic and very serious allegations being made against Tesla, some of its employees and its management. It centres around a civil court case filed by the Department of Fair Employment and Housing in the state of California against Tesla and fifty defendants at the company. In discussing the court case and the several years of investigation which led to it, we will be discussing racism in the workplace, including the allegations of widespread use of racial slurs, racist imagery and racist graffiti, in addition to the allegedy overtly racially-motivated discrimination in the work place by the defendents against black and/or African American employees and contractors at Tesla’s various Californian facilities.
To properly cover this, portions of filed court papers containing examples of all of the above will be shared in this video. Those of you watching with younger audience members may wish to review this content first.

Judging from what you say, this lawsuit needs to be tried to a jury, not settled out-of-court. Let’s see how the accusers and the accused present in Court. Examination and cross-examination tend to paint a picture of truth.
You say Tesla borders on gaslighting. Hmmm. Therefore, you apparently believe somebody was called the n-word (or similar slurs) 50 to 100 times in a single day?
I want to see and hear that man in a court of law.
Batson precludes using preemptory challenges against prospective minority jurors on the basis of race, so stop with that accusation against the legal system.
Finally, yeah, let’s have a trial. Let’s get everything out into the light of the courtroom. If the plaintiffs win, Tesla will pay. If Tesla wins, they get nothing, but I wonder if you’ll be willing to post a proper video extolling Tesla’s workplace and workforce?
The great disappointment is YOU and hate for Elon Musk and Tesla. Your channel has almost ZERO value in the last few months. I wounder how much longer it will be around?
You keep nagging.
Nikki, thanks a lot for this important video and all the hard work you and your team has put down in this important matter.
Respect to you from Sweden
Yeah the factory is segregated with people on hands and knees cleaning the floor. Or Cali is mad Tesla left. Accusations are more that a decade old. I don't buy any of it!
Such courageous reporting! Bravo. Living up to this channel's name: Transport Evolved. The workforce standards in automakers need to evolve too, and hold racist folks accountable for their speech and actions no matter what company they are part of. It is part of what we must do in this time, if we hope to have a future together as humans.
As an Australian, we have our own horrid history of black genocide, but I’m so appalled by what has been described here, I actually can’t stomach to finish this video. As a future Tesla owner, I now have very serious pause to not purchase from Tesla. This company is despicable in the extreme. I don’t think I’ll but a Model X at all now. It’s just too much.
Oh… and thank you all for doing this programme with so much intelligence and sensitivity. Well done indeed.
Welcome to America the land of the free and home of the brave. They should add another stanza, if you’re not white you’re not really American, wink wink.
I’m not American but when I’m there for business or to visit family, I’m always so glad when I cross back across the border. You couldn’t pay any amount of money to live there.
BTW all the affirmative action will not solve this problem. This is buried deep in the fabric of this society and you will never get rid of it.
I wish someone would invent a retrovirus that changes your genes for pigmentation and turn these racist assholes into the black people they be hatin' at.
Elon, care to step up? 😀
I’ve been called every one of these slurs & been told ‘Go back to Africa!’ It sucks.
It's not about Tesla. It's about human nature. It's the fear of the unknown. We all fear the unknown. The question is how people get like that? Look at cops, few join the force to be a bigot or let out their bigotry. When you a new cop assigned to a crime-ridden area dominated by a single race, after awhile you are "afraid". afterwards you come to justify your fear.
No one will admit, we all have it in ourselves.
The "fear" can be public transportation train/bus going through your neighborhood. Mexicans taking your job. Building a shelter near your house. Immigrant caravans. We all talk about "transportation evolved" as long as it's not a subway through my area…. dog whistle for "those people".
