Hollywood superstar Will Smith attracted widespread attention this week when he hit comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars ceremony, before taking out top prize for best actor – but its not the only domain he’s punching above his weight in.
With an estimated net worth of nearly $350 million, Mr Smith is said to own at least eight luxury and performance prestige vehicles alongside a few historic classics.
While it’s unclear what has been sold and what is still in his possession, the following list comprises the cars that have made their way into the A-lister’s garage over his over his 35-year career.
With limited photographs of the relevant vehicles available in the public domain, the images attached below don’t show Mr Smith’s own personal car (except when otherwise stated).
Here are some of the most interesting vehicles reportedly owned by Will Smith.
The first-generation 1965 Ford Mustang is powered by a 5.8-litre V8 petrol engine, and would likely cost more that $US80,000 ($AU105,000) today.
The Bentley Azure is powered by a 6.75-litre V8 petrol engine, and cost approximately $US340,000 ($AU450,000) for the entry-level variant when new.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost is powered by a 6.6-litre V12 petrol engine, and costs $US311,900 ($AU415,000) for the cheapest variant.
The Maybach 57S 4.0-litre V8 petrol engine, and cost approximately $US200,000 ($270,000) for the entry-level model when new.
The BMW i8 is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor, and cost approximately $US150,000 ($AU200,000) when new.
The first-generation Tesla Roadster is powered by a single electric motor, and cost $US98,500 ($AU135,000) when new.
The mega-motorhome – dubbed ‘The Heat’ – was custom built for Mr Smith in 2012, and was reported to cost $2.5 million ($AU3.4 million) new.
He has maintained a primary focus on industry trends, autonomous technology, electric vehicle regulations, and local environmental policy.
