The Mercedes G-Class is due for an update, and it’s set to arrive for the 2023 model year. We expected to see at least one prototype, but up until now, it’s been hiding very well. All that has changed, though, and this prototype is sporting some changes – some so important the driver was very careful about hiding them.
To start, we can spot a new front end with a revised grille. There’s a new fascia in the rear as well, however, there’s not much else to say about the exterior thanks to the camo. Oddly enough, the headlights and taillights are identical to those of the current model, which means Mercedes engineers aren’t exactly done with the development process quite yet. Interestingly, however, there are some significant changes happening inside, but we weren’t able to see them because the driver was careful to cover them up.
The facelifted Mercedes G-Class is expected to arrive for the 2023 model year, so the production model should be revealed sometime before fall of 2022.
