LifePO batteries need special chargers – your car or anything else for that matter, unless specifically designed for it, will destroy that battery if you tried to connect it to your car.
I would think that the current surge from the battery pack when you floor a Tesla is pretty darn high.
I've been buying batteries for all my vehicles for 15 years and have never had a problem or warranty claim. they always last way past the warranty period.
My boss liked to take the battery from the company service van I drove. and use it for trolling. Before long it would only crank for a few seconds AND THEN he ran it completely totally flat, and accidently hooked it up wrong and it got charged up backwards ! ! (Late 1960s) I didn't know that was possible, but I've seen that a few times since then.
I've read about some people that have lead acid batteries that are still good after 9 years. I find that hard to believe. Since the batteries I buy have a 3 year warranty, I change them out after 3 years whether or not they need to be changed. I hate to spend more money than I have to but it'll be a lot more expensive if my car battery goes bad in the middle of nowhere – like a campsite or rest stop. Of course, there's the option of getting a jump start but you better go directly to an auto parts store and get a replacement. Jump starting can be dangerous though.
Besides not liking the cold most lithium iron phosphate batteries are limited to 100 amp discharge rate by their BMS and that's the real reason they're not ideal for starting vehicles.
