you want to find an honest qualified and competent mechanic . You have the odds of getting struck by lightning or winning the lotto . GOOD LUCK .
Its awful how many terrible workers are out there these days…..
But wasn't it the hydrolic lifters? lol
"he went in without a problem and came out with a problem" shows bride and groom HAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I used Firestone to install and supposedly balance my new tires. Like you, one wheel had no weights. I pointed this out to a manager who claimed that might be just how it balanced. I went to a good shop, and they found none of the tires were holding air because they didn't prepare the rims right. FS's tech ruined the bead of one tire while installing. Total disaster. Big mistake trying to save a little money.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! my 2000 Toyota 4 makes a tapping valve noise when starting up at freezing temperatures. That stops in seconds. She runs great since last summer i replaced the knocks sensor. I will do the bucket shim settings but NOT now because I am soon to buy a house. An apartment car port is not an option. Thank you so much I worry less!!
Merry Christmas Scotty!
i wouldn't blame the employees all the time for the bad balancing most of the time discount tire stores use uncalibrated balancers, garbage ones/ move them and I doubt most min wage employees know even they have to be calibrated let alone how to.
I do 90 percent of all my auto repairs. Last year I purchased a set of high dollar Bridgestone tires on sale from some outfits posting on Wal-Mart. I saved about 45 bucks. I then purchased a bunch of tools. An air blaster etc.. bubble balancer etc. Sure the tools were more than the savings of doing it myself but guess what I sanded down 20 years of collected gunk on the tire rim seat that was creating slow leaks and now doesn't. I'll put my bubble bance against any others. My 97 rides like a Cadillac now compared to the all terrain hard as a rock Goodyear vs smooth riding Bridgestones.
