The co-pilot on that Jet Blue flight was razor sharp in his actions. Usually the 1st officer would never overstep the captain. But in this case the 1st officer realized something was horribly wrong and took the correct action. I wonder if the captain left the cockpit on his own or did the 1st officer somehow convince him to go check something in the cabin or talk to the flight attendants so he could get a clear chance to lock the captain out without having to fight him in the cockpit.
