The Toyota Prado-competitor has reached the end of the line in Australia, though GWM Haval is yet to confirm which model will replace it.
Production for the local market has ended, and “just a small quantity” of cars remains within the dealer network.
Now priced from $41,990 drive-away, the variant was pitched as a cheaper alternative to the Toyota LandCruiser Prado at local launch in 2015.
Drive comes from a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, and this sends 180kW/350Nm to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission and low-range transfer case.
A spokesperson for GWM Haval Australia told Drive: “Production of the H9 for Australia is now over and any remaining stock is expected to be sold by the end of the year.”
It’s unclear what model will replace the H9 in GWM Haval’s local range.
The slightly-smaller Haval Big Dog is also under consideration for sale in Australia.
