For the first time, wireless Apple CarPlay now comes standard in the Japanese sports car.
The Toyota GR Supra sports car has picked up a minor update for 2022, with wireless Apple CarPlay now included as standard.
This means iPhone connectivity no longer requires a cable, and the existing 8.8-inch infotainment screen can now pair with a device using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
While last year Toyota introduced a power increase and improved torsional rigidity, no other upgrades have made it into the Supra for the 2022 model year.
Two variants remain on offer locally; the GT (priced from $87,003 before on-road costs) and the GTS (priced from $97,003 before on-road costs).
In both, a 3.0-litre turbocharged inline-six petrol engine sends 285kW/500Nm to the rear wheels via an eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission.
This allows the 0-100km/h sprint to be completed in a claimed 4.1 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 250km/h.
