The Korean car maker’s upcoming all-electric family SUV will launch in 2024, and has been confirmed for the Australian market. Here’s what it could look like.
Specifications are thin on the ground for now, however the production vehicle will likely be pitched as a zero-emission alternative to the existing Hyundai Palisade seven- or eight-seater.
The option of rear- and all-wheel drive layouts are expected, while a circa-100kWh lithium-ion battery pack will provide a “targeted range” in excess of 480km (300 miles).
According to press material released by Hyundai, the newest concept images reveal “a form following function design that dares to diverge from traditions of the internal combustion engine era … [the vehicle’s] lighting architecture is defined by Parametric Pixels, Ioniq’s unique design identity connecting analogue with digital emotions.”
