We’ve seen it dozens of times – ‘Bono – my tyres are gone’. Then Hamilton seems to find pace out of nowhere.
So where does this pace come from? Or is Lewis Hamilton actually lying?
So what is going on with these radio messages? Is Hamilton reacting honestly, could it be a bit of showmanship or even straight up trying to mislead his competitors?

Pure showmanship. All Hamilton is doing is making himself look better. Anyone who has ever watched a GP will have laughed at Hamilton's endless messages about tyres at Monaco, no way was he ever in danger of loosing that race, he had track position and that is king at Monaco.
It would be funny if the FIA slipped a rule into the Supp Regs that said if a driver reports their tyres are done, the car must be pitted for a tyre change within 3 laps…

I've found it possible to run faster laps on worn tires in some situations. On new tires I had to run a particular line, but as the tires wore and I'd slow, I'd change my life to a better line and would set my fastest laps. But i couldn't run that same line on new tires, so I'd have to wait for them to wear to shift to that faster line. Depends on the track, car setup, etc, whether it can happen or not.

He's lying and has no credibility.
Hamilton always lies even when hé crashes in someone.
