Seems like many other businesses. You either need to me a one man owner op type of deal or go big and have enough overlap with mechanics and lifts and such that a hiccup here and there doesn't matter

is an auto repair or dealership more profitable

As I say every day it is not the car that is the problem but the customer (absolutely not all the customers but someone ……)

sorry, it's 100% your fault she is pissed because you didn't get enough info on the vehicle and you're tired of fixing everyone's problems when you sold them the problem. There is a reason I don't buy from auction flippers like you

Very well explained thank you. Keep up the great work.

As a project manager, unfortunately I think the incorrect order for the Suburban is indeed your fault. In our business we always live by the maxim "validate your assumptions"! Sorry!!
Also, with problems comes opportunity for more revenue. Not your issue if the customer is unhappy that there are more things broken on his/her car.

Funny how it's "not my fault I ordered the wrong parts and didn't clarify the truck I was ordering g them for"…Totally your fault and equals poor customer service.

I heard that bad businesses generate 80% of their profits from 20% of their products.
I probably heard this from Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares when Chef Ramsay tried to trim down a failing restaurant's gigantic 150-item menu to a more manageable 2-page menu of 7 appetizers, 7 main courses and 5 desserts. Focus on the best food using a limited variety of the best and freshest ingredients.

moral of story.. people are dumb and annoying and the only way to make money off them is to sell them expensive shit.
