Freedom. That ancient feeling that you can go anywhere, anytime, just modern era version. Of course I know: got to earn the licence, got to dress up, got to fill the tank, stick to tarmac roads for most bikes… sure. But that thousand(s) years ago you'd still have to catch a mustang, learn how to ride it, take care of it and feed it 🙂 so I'll say there are still shadows or traces of that true old school feeling of freedom, going where you want and how you want. A bit pompous words maybe but that's how I see it. Started to ride out of pure practicality issues, and that evolved through hobby into real passion. Just find a bike that fits you, experiment with different types, there's a chance that one day it simply "clicks".
My humble advice: don't avoid type of bike not on your radar generally, give it a try, ask a friend etc. I've never considered a sportbike, and how surprising it was to find my ass most comfortable on this type! I don't even ride very fast, sh&t scares me too much, but the dynamics and agility are different story and sports take it to another level. Accelerating like afterburning jet fighter and decelerating with unholy physics-questioning rates. Probably the best way to spend, even waste money on. Drop drinking, smoking, gambling, and get you that nice machine that has always attracted your attention but there is always some "not yet, maybe later, some day". Do stupid stuff like wheelies on a Harley (just kidding, no one does that).

Hey Jon! While back I commented asking about some of the accessories and parts for the dyna and whether or not it would fit on the low rider s. I ended up going with the Low rider S instead of the street glide. I was wanting to get it into a club style look, any suggestions in what companies I should look into?

In its own way, it has helped with my ptsd and being able to find others to ride with has kind of gave me a sense of camaraderie again like I had in the military. It also helped me appreciate the smaller things in life… things that most people don't realize like the sensation of riding on a hot day but getting small pockets of cool air when riding… something that, although brief, is satisfying. Being able to just feel free. When I am riding, all problems just fade away. It's not only therapeutic but can be meditative in a way. It forces me to get out (which you covered) but it has helped me break out of my shell. The more I ride, the more I wanna get out, and the more I get out, the more people I wanna meet. I had to make that bold because although I just thought of it, I feel that sentence describes it perfectly for me

Amen brother. I lost 50lb just to get in shape so I could look good in a slim fit motorcycle jacket. I also got leather boots and slim fit jeans.
