the parts are thin and wobbley because as My Friend Pete said 'This a drag bike ". thin and light. They probably used chopped strand glass because it forms better without wrinkeling and buckeling. Great info as usual. I have learned a lot watching your Vids Pete. Thanks!!
when MFP said he had a lot of video sets from dallas swrc, he wasn't kidding.
Can't wait to see the next video.
This is one of those "little" jobs that takes as much time to do as a whole car.
I have a fiberglass hood on my 06 mustang and I also picked up that aircraft paint stripper that’s safe on plastic and fiber glass so could I use that to strip the paint off of my hood
Whoever painted the blue over that crappy glass work should look for another line of work
Part 2?
Spray it polyester primer?
Like slick sand?
We would paint high tops , before they went on the conversion Vans the problem was the manufacturer of the tops stated do not use bonding clear or break gel coat ,so an argument broke out among the painters on Enamel but that posed a problem with stripping , so straight lacquer and clear coat was used that lasted about 2 years in the Weather , then the problem of clear lines looking dirty what a process ,for 3 strips.
What would you do on gelcoat cracks and soft glass.
Got a 1965 truck cab thats needing some love…
