The Pick of the Day is a 1973 GMC Jimmy K5 Sierra Blazer that the private seller advertising the SUV on ClassicCars.com calls a “dry desert survivor” that recently completed a 2,000-mile round trip from the Phoenix area to Texas and back, and do so “without issue.”

“Excellent running and driving truck turn key driver with working A/C, Tilt wheel, Power steering and power disc brakes,” the seller reports, adding that the vehicle has been mechanically gone through including new leaf springs and bushings front and rear, newly updated A/C system, shocks brakes etc.

The seller says it appears that the replacement GM Goodwrench crate engine was installed just “prior to my ownership.” Neither the size nor the output of the engine is reported in the advertisement, though we do learn the SUV has an automatic transmission, and a photograph of the engine shows it to be a 350cid V8.
