While we recently talked about how the upcoming AMG C63e will come with a hybrid powertrain that will utilize a modified version of the 2.0-liter M139 turbo-four from the A45S, as well as the controversial nature of this decision, there might be hope for AMG after all. AMG is already cooking a new EV powertrain for its future models. We are expected to see the first car featuring it, later this year. In the meantime, the factory of madness is developing a new E-Performance Plug-in hybrid system for the AMG GT four-door and C-Class.
