I found out that the government in Australia, where I am, does not allow people to use aftermarket led lights for their cars for road use. Because they claim that it’s not safe, yet they allow the expensive original equipment ones that cost a fortune, saying that it has a special system in it to make it legal, which is a bunch of baloney. So, I’m mad. People in this country shouldn’t have to shell out thousands of dollars just to get leds for your car, to “allow” you to use them

IMO if you want junkyard parts you should exclusively go to ones where you can pick yourself.
Find a car that got totaled due to rear end collision with low miles. Inspect the parts you're pulling.
If you've got the skill and know the lifetime of parts, it's going to last 90% of what the new part will for 1/4 the price.
Pulled a mint 40k miles jeep 4.0 for my nephew last year on a 50% off day. Walked out for 250 bucks with a bunch of extras still attached to the motor.
