The price of LandCruisers has surged to unprecedented levels in recent months.

A custom-built 2019 Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series six-wheeler has been listed for sale on Drive, with an asking price of $192,888 plus on-road costs.

The chassis restructure – and extensive suspension upgrade – was carried out by local conversion specialist JMACX, at a reported cost of $61,585. In its current form, the exotic dual-cab measures more than 6500mm from nose to tail.

Alongside the JMACX modifications, the LandCruiser 79 Series also features a secondary 185 litre fuel tank, bulbar, winch, off-road tyres, UHF radio, snorkel, tub cover, and front and rear parking cameras.

Drive comes from the Toyota’s original 4.5-litre turbo diesel V8 engine, sending 151kW/430Nm to all six wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. A through-drive differential sends power to the rear-most axle.
