Find Your Own 335i:
In this video I take you along on a first person POV drive in my 2007 #335i with twin turbocharged N54. With so many of us working from home now, the line between home and work is really blurred. Creating a ”fake commute” to improve your mental health is recommended by many experts as a way to get some restorative alone time for yourself to think. Simple, meditative acts like driving, walking or gardening allow one to access the creative space in your mind to make connections and process your thoughts.
To create your own fake commute, carve out some time before and after your work day for alone time. Use this time to walk, ride a bike, or exercise. If you’re a car enthusiast, a short drive might be fun too. This time creates boundaries between you, your work, and those around you. This can help you access time for personal reflection and allow for some healing during these traumatic times. Who would have thought that a commute is actually healthy after all?
Let’s talk about the car. This is one of the most legendary cars BMW has ever produced, capable of 300 horsepower from the factory, and upwards of 500 horsepower with a few simple bolt-on modifications. These #N54 motors are known to be capable of handling 700-800 horsepower with more in depth tuning work due to the robust over-engineered design featuring forged internal engine components.
The #E90 is one of the best BMW designs of all time, designed by a Japanese designer at BMW named Joji Nagashima. He also designed the E39, E36 and Z3 – this man is a true legend on the BMW design team.

Nice. 👌
i dont understand those stop sigs, too many for me
So the 2007 335i has 300 hp in stock form; my car has a split second turbo tuner installed (version ii) which increases this to 340 hp. Just to clarify the numbers here.
Hi Rich,
I have to say, the planet’s must have been perfectly aligned when you bought that 335i !! An absolute pearler of a machine, and your right, a future classic collectable that should start to strongly increase in value over the next few years.
Also, the “ first person perspective with the GoPro “ is a great addition to the video and I hope you can incorporate that in more videos…very engaging visually and audio was perfect!
Clearly, BMW was still over-engineering this engine for long term durability.
Cheers
Ps. Didn’t know about the Japanese designer ( always something to learn with your Channel)
Nice video. I'm curious how this car will be reliability-wise. The N54 motor is super solid, but it seems like a lot of the stuff surrounding the engine goes bad. But I love the E90. I'm always looking out for a clean manual N52 car. They drive so much better than the F30 gen. We have an early F30 328i manual and it's mediocre at best.
Edit: Also a huge fan of the E39. That Japanese designer actually went to school relatively local to me which I thought was super cool!
Basically
Theres a guy in Australia thar sais Maaaad all tbe time. So basically Maaad dont stress.
i got e91 325i manual 🙂 it's my second bmw 🙂 it's a bit sad bad rep for bmw becouse young people buying this
