Are you in a COVID Recovery State or are you in full Stage 4 lockdown? It doesn’t matter where you are in this 2020 horror year, we need to regularly check in with each other and share our stories of challenges, resilience and survival.
On Wednesday 2nd September the AAAA hosted an important, free industry wide webinar on Life During COVID: State-by-State. Stuart Charity, CEO of the AAAA and Lesley Yates, Director – Government Relations & Advocacy, were joined by Steve Grocl, Manager at J & F Motors in Victoria and Adam Pay, Managing Director of mycar, sharing valuable insights into their experience of running workshops in this time of COVID recovery and caring for their customers and employees.
It was a great session, one of our best so far, providing revealing insights into how workshops are managing in incredibly tough times in Metropolitan Melbourne. But we also discovered that new regulations and new ways of doing business are affecting everyone in our industry in every segment and in every state of Australia, and some of the reforms may be longer lasting than we first expected.
In this Webinar we explored different coping mechanisms, how businesses have adapted, and how government regulation is being rolled out across Australia including a brief overview of the grants that are available to businesses on a state by state basis. We also shared the results of our recent COVID-19 Survey – our second COVID survey conducted in July. All webinar participants have access to the information presented including valuable links to government COVID support and recovery grants for each state.
