Before serving as Vice President of Design at Ford, Mr Callum worked at Chrysler, Groupe PSA, Ghia and Mazda.

Ford designer Moray Callum – who was responsible for styling the current-generation Mustang, the Mustang Mach-E electric SUV, and GT supercar – has announced his retirement.

Mr Callum’s career in automotive design spanned almost four decades – he began working for Chrysler in 1982, and was then employed by Groupe PSA, Ghia and Mazda, before taking the reins at Ford in 2014.

While at Mazda, Callum was instrumental in developing the hugely successful CX-7 SUV, alongside the third-generation MX-5 (NC).
