Jeep has launched its 2021 Grand Cherokee, which it notes now offers 7-passenger seating, three 4×4 systems and an all-new vehicle architecture that offers independent front and rear suspensions as well as a Quadra-Lift setup.
The interior has a standard 10-inch dashboard display screen, frameless digital gauge cluster and LED lighting. Other features include driver and front passenger massage seats as well as Waxed Walnut wood trim and quilted Palermo leather seating.
Jeep said Level 2 automated driving technology will be available on the 2022 Grand Cherokee L late in calendar year 2021. Also coming is the 4×3 electrified Grand Cherokee.

“With that legacy guiding the Jeep team, the new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee is crafted to exceed expectations and do what no other SUV can do: deliver legendary Jeep 4×4 off-road capability blended with superior on-road manners.
“It is built on an all-new architecture and wrapped in a stunning new design that honors its iconic Jeep design heritage, while also extending to accommodate a third row to meet the growing needs of our Jeep customers who have asked for more space and functionality.”
The 2021 Grand Cherokee will be offered in four trim levels — Laredo, Limited, Overland and Summit.
The Quara-Lift air suspension can provide an extra 4.17 inches of ground clearance off-road or can lower the vehicle as much as 0.8 inch for a lower profile in highway driving.
Selec-Terrain technology adjusts various systems for enhanced Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow and Mud/Sand operation.
Available engines are a 3.6-liter, 290-horsepower V6 or a 5.7-liter, 357-horsepower V8. All new Grand Cherokees will have an 8-speed automatic transmission.
