Skoda sales stayed strong in Australia in 2020, in a challenging market thanks largely to innovative product and sharp pricing.
Skoda almost halved the downturn felt by the market as a whole – dropping 8.8 per cent year-to-date against a strong 2019. In real terms and in a challenging climate, the Volkwagen sister brand is going relatively well in Australia.
2020 saw the injection of quality new models – updated Kodiaq arrived, as did new Kamiq – which came a little too late to make a big impact on sales figures.
Karoq also delivered a sales win in the market, with Skoda benefiting from innovative, quality product and sharp pricing. There’s little to suggest that 2021 won’t be a strong year for the brand.
