I love HD, but when I could paid $3000 for a 1500 Vulcan Nomad with 6k miles ….I take my iron maiden
Congratulations btw
Due to recent events I am looking to get a bike as my sole means of transportation but only temporary. I will also be purchasing a simple vehicle and looking to get a new truck later this year but as of right now bcuz I’ve always wanted one, a motorcycle will be my single vehicle with later in the year end up being mostly for recreational riding. I’m in my late 20’s and looking to get a Japanese cruiser due to their reputation as quality bikes
Is this still a thing? In my country, as well as most of Europe I believe, the sales have been rising, apart from maybe a hiccup due to Euro 4 (many dealers stocked their supplies with Euro 3 bikes, leading to seemingly lower sales the year after, as they were selling them). Is the industry in USA still struggling? Quite odd though.
On the other hand, I understand H-D is in a peculiar position in Europe right now. They do grow but I assume that's mostly at the expense of Japanese who all but pulled out of the cruiser market. Considering this, their new models make a lot of sense, an adventure bike to compete with the best selling non-scooter, a naked to compete with another of the top sellers, MT-09, and an electric naked to compete with possible emerging market. Oh and they teased an electric scooter (small scooters are a really important market, in the southern countries stuff like SH series easily beats any bike, possibly by an order of magnitude too) and what seems like a cross between an electric bicycle and an off-road bike.
From my personal point of view, they seem to be getting to the right markets, even though some might argue they should have been there some time ago already. When I go hiking, it's quite obvious that in the mountains, the electric bikes (pedelecs) are displacing normal ones, on the road the number of bikes (especially naked and adventure) is increasing, one thing is, despite me knowing a few people who own them, missing from the roads I ride on – and that's cruisers.
Most other big companies are doing well thanks to their presence in multiple categories of bikes, maybe with the exception of Piaggio group who, as I heard, were in need of a financial injection but most potential backers were only interested in their retro brands (Vespa and MG) and not e.g. Aprilia who is not doing so well.
Cnbc is a fake news channel
YES , I AGREE BUT LETS DISAGREE, IT'S OKAY. Now I have owned Hondas ect from out of the 70's in the years is survive and ride , now being retired I own the largest Harley and also Harley Sports 883/ 883 conversion 1250/and a 1200. So out of 4 bikes YOU and myself share the same feelings . Being 60 I find I have friends that want to impress me saying there going to get a bagger. I have bagger friends that dont want me to ride my Sportsters around them . Men and Women let's all just ride and enjoy two wheels. I own 2 Chevy trucks an Olds 88 and a 73 Nova Drag Car . Just live your life folks it's your life.
I enjoy a well made bike, not cheap plastic chromed out piece of junk. Been in a Honda own an Audi. Been on a Yamaha and own a Harley. You decide. No bikes have the craftsmanship of a Harley. For me that’s part of it. Quality.
Sounds like a lot of sour millennials out there without a lot of cash. Thus the cheaper bike.
I am 4-2 why did I buy a bike am I the young buyer or the older buyer what whould my age rate LOL so you see why it must be a 1200c hd harley sportster
I bought my Harley because I wanted it.
I got a 16 focus 5spd. And the Z125 is for fun. But some commute
