Solid state battery has been around for years. It will not be commercially viable for years is what experts are saying. Same happened with the Lith Ion batteries. When they first came out, it was years before they too became commercially viable. Almost 20 years actually.
So, Mr. Happy Horsehead suggests tha' them lead acid battery dealios are…kaputski?…Hey, Senor Cabeza de Caballo, whattabou' usin'em for boat anchors?
The diesel second owner might just put the wrong viscosity oil in it. Did you think of that, Scotty?
Terrible idea to wait. Tesla is better right now. The current batteries last 25 years and 400k miles. That's good enough. This is the one area where Scotty is clueless.
Scotty we need to take into consideration, EMS,POLICE Truck drivers.. etc. We need to think of vehicles that run all day every day. We need 10minute or less charging with high miles. Can’t wait for the future.
Go test drive another new 2021 cvt and see what it does.
There is still no free lunch. You still have to transfer that much energy to the car. With liquid gasoline that's easy. With electric you'll have to transfer a great deal of energy in a small amount of time. Shorter the time the more KVA you'll need. The more dangerous it is. The requirements for energy to the motor remain the same. Could put a big strain on electric infrastructure. Most of America was not wired to handle anything like this. Might have to have charging stations. Maybe charging stations with a big old Catepiller Diesel to drive it. Like a C175-20 4000 ekW diesel. Maybe that's not even enough if you're doing 20-30 cars at a pop.
Weren’t you pushing hydrogen fuel cells 2 minutes ago? Stick to old ICE vehicles. You’re behind the times Scotty.
