    The engine would run better when reved higher? I mean faster? Well, I think it's like with overclocking the PCs. It can be done and if you know what you're doing you can even do it relatively safe. But it's probably just not worth it. I mean considering the time and money spent… If it's just for the sake of having fun with tinkering with the car then it's cool. But if you're really want to go FASTER, you just need to buy a faster car. Or a faster PC if we talk about overclocking. Yes, I know, when they mod the cars they always make them rev beyond the red line. But it's one of many many things. And all that cost just ridiculous amount of money, unless you are a car mechanic yourself. If you are not one – just buy a faster car – it will probably be cheaper.

    My Harley Sportster was limited at 5800 rpm from the factory but for a 150 dollar fee the Dealer would Flash the ECU to allow it go to 7000 rpm of course they wanted to sell you a free flow air cleaner and exhaust system to go with it.
    I kept the bike stock and sold it.
