This issue that you’ve mentioned applies to almost any other social groups/club/gathering. Some of them change who they are in fear of being an outcast. Jeer on others to reinforce their decision and culture. Either we change to stay and blend in or leave. Left and now, i rather ride alone and feel happier. It’s just a hobby, why all the stress?

The Harley crowd are a dying cult. Macho is pathetic. I'm 68, so it is not an 'age' thing.
I found the line about the millennials "killing Harley" to be incredibly ironic.
What's killing Harley is its reluctance to innovate and improve upon their existing designs.
And that reluctance is largely bred from the huge amount of flak they're afraid of catching from the aging "purists."
Nothing turns people away from Harleys like their first encounter with the stereotypical Harley fanatic.
