"Professional mechanics". Uh, no. Baboons, gorillas, primates maybe. Mechanics? Nope. I fault FMC for two things. KNOWING that part is a weak link and continuing to use it as it was, without a permanent fix. And secondly for ALLOWING dealers to get away with that kind of crap. I'm a long time Ford owner, a fan of the brand. But Ford dropped the ball here, and furthermore have been dropping it with alarming regularity for a long time. They didn't used to be like that. In the early seventies a friend of mine had a new Ford with a problem the DEALER refused to admit existed. FMC had a service bulletin out on it. After the forth trip to the dealer my buddy called Dearborn. A guy from there flew in and went to the dealer with fire in his eyes. The dealer straightened up IMMEDIATELY and FOREVERMORE. The car was fixed with a loaner provided, washed, waxed, filled with gas and the owner of the dealership himself made an in person apology. THAT was the way they DID business and should still be the way they do it, Sadly that's no longer the case. If it were GMC and F/C would have to close up shop.

The last thing soldiers, war heroes, veterans and their families need is an incompetent dealership. That dealership needs improvement
Had a problem with my throttle body too. Got that $100 autozone special, no more issues.
I never had this problem with my 4-barrel carburetor on my 1976 Ford F-150. 😀
