Unfortunately the German cars most often require special tools / diagnostic equipment to fix them and these tools are VERY expensive. These German "timebombs" are made for wealthy people who don't really do a lot of mileage – then the whole "experience" is alright. They trade them in when they pass the warrantee. But for someone who wants to keep them beyond 4 years these are timebombs just waiting to detonate. Let the buyer beware – $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
