You can go to Amazon and, for $27.09, purchase a “Tough 1 Spectator Seat Stick” that looks like and functions as a cane, but with a handle that opens to provide a place to sit, supported by the pole portion of the device, which can be adjusted for individual height and comfort.

I cannot tell you how many times I wish I had such a device as I’ve wondered around car shows and concours, wishing there was a place to sit rather than to stand.

And speaking on concours and those who frequent them, instead of spending $30 on Amazon, you can order from Rolls-Royce and its Boutique one its new “Pursuit Seat” units for $8,830.

Rolls-Royce said it has reimagined the traditional pursuit seat for a contemporary world, using carbon fiber and polished aluminum and a leather seat embossed with the Rolls-Royce emblem and colors to match or contrast with the interior of your luxury vehicle.

“We have applied Sir Henry Royce’s maxim, ‘Take the best that exists and make it better, ‘to a quintessentially British product,” the company’s news release quotes Matthew Danton, its “bespoke designer.”

“Elevated to Rolls-Royce’s precise and exacting standards yet true to the original concept, the Pursuit Seat has been reimagined for a contemporary world. Our clients can now enjoy the comfort of a Rolls-Royce seat, no matter the activity or where it may lead.

“The comfort of a handmade leather seat is no longer confined to the interior of a Rolls-Royce motor car,” the company added.  “True to the spirit of the original, the Pursuit Seat offers instant, portable comfort in town or country, bringing ease and style to clients’ ever diversified lifestyles. A perfect perch for flying a drone, painting a landscape or simply pausing to take in the view, the Pursuit Seat is the latest accessory designed to enhance the lifestyle experience of Rolls-Royce clients.”
