The redesigned 2021 Kia Sorento starts thousands higher than the outgoing generation, but the chasm comes in part due to reshuffled trim levels that lose the 2020’s bargain-priced L trim. As such, the new Sorento begins with the LX, which starts at $30,560 (all prices include destination). That’s up $2,450 from the 2020 Sorento L. Versus the outgoing LX, pricing escalates by $1,350.

The base price gets you the 2021 Sorento’s new base engine, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder. Climb up the trim ladders and opt for the available turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and pricing eventually tops $40,000:
- LX: $30,560
- S: $33,060
- EX: $36,160
- SX: $39,160
- SX Prestige: $41,760
- SX Prestige X-Line: $43,760
The 2021 Kia Sorento hits dealers later this year. LX and S models get the 2.5-liter four-cylinder, while higher trims have the turbo 2.5-liter. The all-wheel-drive SX Prestige X-Line excepted, prices above are for front-wheel-drive models; the Sorento’s optional all-wheel drive adds $1,800 to $2,000, depending on trim. Beyond what’s included in each trim level, the list of factory options is short — ranging from a panoramic moonroof on S and EX trims to premium paint across the board. Expect a factory-loaded SX Prestige AWD X-Line to top out a bit over $44,000. That’s similar to the outgoing Sorento’s ceiling.
