Why do Japanese companies think it's a good idea to make mid interference engines ?
That's been my experience with Mazdas. I'm on my third: 1979 RX-7 (187,000 miles), 2005 Mazda 3 (182,000 miles), and now a 2014 Mazda 6 (100,000+ miles). My only forced maintenance was a failed A/C compressor on the Mazda 3. Other than that, just oil changes, brakes, and tires. Extremely reliable automobiles. Waiting for the new Mazda 6 rear wheel drive coupe to come out.
my dad had a mazda 323f 1996 which had the quitest smoothest 4 cylinder motor i had ever been in for such a small 1.5l motor. no wonder ford wanted their 4cylinder technology.
Not everything out of Japan is quality.
I hate to tell you, but most Mazda’s are now made in Mexico!!!!
