"turbo charged engines are less reliable as they age.." I'm pretty sure most diesel engine these days have turbos. And I'm pretty sure every engine is less reliable as it ages.

I think your gonna find out that Ecoboost Ranger holds up pretty damn well Scotty.
Guy on Youtube tested highway gas mileage on the 2.3 Ranger. Got 17mpg highway. That's what my 1990's full size Chevy with a 5.7 Liter V-8 got on the highway. And I guarantee you that big cast iron Chevy engine would last 3x as long as that little speedy weenie turbo Ford motor.

In the rest of the world we get the Ranger with the 3.2 l 5 cylinder diesel these have proven very reliable with many examples getting more than 300000 miles problem free it's a real work horse.
