    Scotty you have to be the hardest working YouTube personality of all time. You put out so much informative quality and Funny content you must be at the top.

    Auto manufacturers have contracts with major oil companies. That's why they use their petroleum oils. They also use petroleum oils to make sure the cylinder rings have enough friction to seat. The problem comes later after the rings have already seated and the wear continues to wear out the rings and dry out the seals. Only PAO (polyalphaolefin) oils like AmsOil reduce wear and provide esters to keep your seals soft so they don't dry out crack and leak. I have been using AmsOIl in my 2001 GMC Sierra 2500HD for over 18 years and I have no leaks or smoke out of my tailpipe.
