    Can confirm the statement about the Acura TL, I'm on my second one (an '07 Type-S). My first one was my 1st car, a 2000 3.2TL. They are extremely fun cars, and extremely fast (the 2nd gens can be considered "sleepers"). And yes, as they get older, repairs do become more expensive. My 2000 had an issue with the Idle Air Control Valve, and the fuel injectors were probably going out (very loud ticking).

    My new Type-S has been hella fun and reliable. Only repair I've had to do in the 7 months of ownership is the EVAP Purge Valve (common issue with the 3rd gen), kept telling me my gas cap wasn't on when it was.

    You know how smart people change their oil Scotty? They have a fumoto valve where the oil plug used to be.

    07 Kia Sportage v4 with 157k. Yes cheap car, but cheap transmissions means replacing one isn't so bad :/ To have the dealer put a brand new one (except the shell was remanufactured) was under $2k. That was 20 thousand miles ago, no problems yet. Its 'retired' from speeding. I don't drive it over 75 max anymore. Mostly highway.

    Those early 2000s Acura TL are known to have the weak transmission that all those early v6 Hondas came with. See them all the time on Craigslist with blown transmissions for dirt cheap. Big pain to replace that why it's cheap!
