    My biggest regret, buying a 13 year old Mercedes April of last year. I thought I got a great deal, $4,000 cash for an E500 with under 130,000 miles. Within a month the airmatic suspension started sagging in the rear. Its been parked ever since and losing value with every passing day.

    I was a cab driver for nine years. Uber, et al, ruined that with their race to the bottom wages and lack of insurance and safety, but it was a decent job while it lasted. One of the last years I was doing it (maybe 2016 or '17) a customer asked me to put on the radio. I did, and then she asked why I didn't have it on in the first place. "Don't you like music," she asked. I responded that of course I like music, but commercial stations play the same fourteen songs over and over again, so one doesn't have to be in a car long before that gets old, and, besides, a lot of times I prefer to be alone with my thoughts anyway. This seemed to shock and mystify her. Her boyfriend seemed to get it, though. He nodded and gave her the same out of the corner of his eye long-suffering gaze I found myself gifting my sometimes obnoxious passengers with.
