Interesting, in the UK we only have mobile fitters for windscreens that come out to anywhere you like. Didn't notice any difference, on the screens were marked up same stamp as original

I love your vids Scotty. One comment though, glass is an amorphous solid and does not have a crystalline structure, but agreed that cracks will propagate when they are big enough.
Scotty glass is NOT a crystal.
Luckily I didn't break the windshield with my head when I had a wreck. Instead my head hit the roof and plastic molding around the windshield. Broke the molding and put a knot on my head. But, I'm ok I didn't get any dain brammage! ?
Remember when they had the rubber surround and shatterproof glass?After a smash there'd be all little diamond like pieces of glass on the tarmac.
That's a lot of shade thrown at safelite.
