The Supra is not built in the same factory. It is not a BMW. It was 90% designed in collaboration with BMW but once the base designs were complete both companies went their own way to complete and manufacture. It was quite a genius way of designing benefiting both companies.
Scotty… most of what you say makes sense but sometimes a little actual research goes a long way.

Small thing – the Supra is NOT built in a BMW factory NOR a Toyota factory. Both the Supra and the new Z4 are built by a third-party assembly company called Magna Steyr. But yes – it is mostly just a Z4 with a Toyota badge.
